...me, the GF and her daughter/my step daughter, and the daughter asks “Can we get a private plane?”
For reference, me <—- 35 hours student pilot that trolls controller.com and trade-a-plane, regularly.
GF: “No, sweetie, we can’t.”
Me: “Now now now, let’s not make any rash decisions...”
So, I got at least one person in my corner on this...

You just need to do a bunch of research (biased,naturally) on the economic and social advantages of owning a light aircraft

Very interesting; twin engines without the issues of losing control if you lose an engine on takeoff. Not unreasonably expensive, either. You own one?
